DETROIT-Detroit-based businessman and developer Don Barden has purchased Fitzgeralds Casino in downtown Las Vegas. The Nevada Gaming Control Board voted 3-0 to recommend approval of the purchase on Wednesday. Board member Scott Scherer said he was impressed by Barden’s exemplary business record. Barden also owns the Majestic Star Riverboat Casino in Gary Indiana.
