LONDON-Madison Land, the private property company run by ex-London & Metropolitan Director Gary Lees, has bought the 1.12-acre former Windmill Coachworks site on the main A30 trunk road close to the Crooked Billet roundabout in Staines Middlesex. It plans a £14 million ($20 million) speculative development to provide a three-storey 38,000-sf office building. Completion is expected in late 2002.

Madison Land was able to increase the size of the original scheme by over a third, having recently been granted planning permission to add an extra floor to the existing consent. Managing Director Gary Lees said: ‘I believe that the planners’ decision will enable us to provide top quality offices at a time when a shortage may be likely in the area.’

Rogers Chapman has been retained as letting agent.
