FEEDBACK: Put San Jose Back in Your Editorial Line-Up

It continues to rile me that you refer to San Jose--the eleventh largest city in the US, the third largest city in the California, the largest city in Northern California and the capital of Silicon Valley, as part of the San Francisco market.

Dear Editor:It continues to rile me that you refer to San Jose–the eleventh largest city in the US, the third largest city in the California, the largest city in Northern California and the capital of Silicon Valley, as part of the San Francisco market. Our community is a distinctly separate and independent market from San Francisco. I really wish that you would give San Jose the proper respect and develop a report specifically for this area.

San Jose is not the epicenter of the Dot Bomb; San Francisco is. We have a much broader and diverse economic base here–while admittedly very much high tech. San Jose is the county seat for Santa Clara County. Cisco, Apple, Applied Materials, HP, 3 Com, Adobe, Sun–all are based in this county.

There is a lot to talk about in San Jose.
