ATLANTA-Locally based-Emory University plans a four-story, 70,000-sf medical faculty office building at the intersection of Jesse Hill Jr. Drive and Armstrong Street, across from Emory’s Downtown-Atlanta Grady Hospital campus. Baltimore-based Whiting-Turner is providing pre-construction services. The Atlanta office of St. Louis, MO-based Helmuth, Obata & Kassabaum is the architect. Emory owns the property.

In a printed statement, Rohit Saxena, project manager for HOK Atlanta, says, his firm worked with the parameters of a very tight site, “bound by two streets and a service alley (and) crisscrossed by many utilities.”

Construction begins this July and is scheduled for completion in September 2003.
