CBRE Hires C&W's Stacom, Shanahan

NEW YORK CITY-CB Richard Ellis today took the New York real estate market by surprise once again by revealing that Cushman & Wakefield veterans Darcy A. Stacom and William M. Shanahan have leaped onto the high-octane CBRE bandwagon. Stacom, formerly an executive vice president with Cushman, and Shanahan, a former C&W executive director, have both been named executive vice president and partner of CBRE’s New York Tri-State Region.

Cushman & Wakefield president of US operations Bruce M. Mosler tells GlobeSt.com he harbors no ill will toward Stacom or Shanahan and says C&W will deal with their departures efficiently. “It’s not going to impact Cushman & Wakefield as an organization,” Mosler says. “This company is filled with many talented people. We will fill those positions with internal people and continue to recruit new talent.”

Together, Stacom and Shanahan have been responsible for the sale and advisory of over $10 billion of commercial real estate in New York and the restructuring of over $2 billion of mortgage and ownership positions.
