VAIL, CO-Former Tyco International chief Dennis Kozlowski invested $14 million in three properties in the Vail Valley. Kozlowski, who contends he is innocent on charges he evaded New York sales tax on purchases he made for his private art collection, bought the properties starting in 2000, at a time when by some published accounts he was raiding his conglomerate’s treasury for personal use.

He currently has all three of his properties on the market for a total of $17.6 million. He’s asking $11.5 million, or $1,476 per sf, for an eight-bedroom, 10-bath “log chalet” in Bachelor Gulch, which he purchased in December 2000 for $8.4 million. He’s listing a two-acre lot next door for $4.75 million, $750,00 more than $4 million he paid in May 2001. Finally, in Beaver Creek he’s listing a 2,300-sf condominium for $1.375 million, $50,000 more than he paid in January 2001.

Reportedly, he’s already turned down a low-ball bid for the condo.
