ATLANTA-Allmerica Financial Corp. of Worcester, MA is leasing 81,161 sf at 600 Embassy Row for 6 ½ years, bringing the 150,000-sf, 16-year-old building to 93% occupancy.

Building owner CarrAmerica Realty Corp. of Washington, DC refuses to disclose the average quoted rent or the aggregate value of the lease. But its Web site shows the rent as $20.50 per sf to $21.50 per sf.

At an average $20 per sf, that would give the Allmerica lease an estimated aggregate value of $10.6 million. A CarrAmerica spokesperson tells GlobeSt.com that figure is incorrect but wouldn’t offer a better estimated value.

The 150,000-sf building is one of five mid-rise office buildings totaling 656,000 sf in a master-planned, 38-acre office park in the Central Perimeter submarket.

Allmerica is the holding company for a diversified group of insurance and financial services companies.

In a printed statement, James Johnson, vice president of corporate real estate, says the property’s location “offers excellent visibility for us and is convenient for our customers and employees.”
