LONDON-Hotel and pub chain Whitbread is looking to rapidly expand key brands with plans to open 20 new value hotels and restaurants over the next few years.

The FTSE 100 company has earmarked funds for the programme and retained Vail Williams to find suitable sites in the south east for its Travel Inn and Brewsters outlets.

Peter Spelman, partner at Vail Williams, said: “Whitbread are in a very strong position at the moment and have funds available to open 20 or so new outlets over the next few years. The Brewsters brand has been a tremendous success and appeals particularly to families with children.”
