MIAMI-Premier Commercial Realty Inc. of Pompano Beach, FL, is preparing to break ground on seven more buildings totaling 680,225 sf in South Florida next month.

The hard construction cost is about $34 million or $50 per sf, area construction industry estimators tell GlobeSt.com on condition of anonymity.

Premier plans to break ground on four more 104,200-sf buildings for a total 416,800 sf at Atlantic Business Center next month. The ground-breakings are planned for buildings 6A, 6B, 7A and 7B.

Three buildings totaling 426,500 sf of the 11 industrial/distribution buildings planned at Atlantic Business Center already have been built. Another small retail building is also planned.

Atlantic Business Center is at 1700 W. Atlantic Blvd. in Pompano Beach. Upon completion, set for the end of 2004, this park will consist of 1.3 million sf of industrial/warehouse/distribution/showroom plus commercial space.

The second and third buildings at Premier Airport Center will break ground in the next couple of weeks, Robert Smith, vice president with the Boca Raton office of CB Richard Ellis, tells GlobeSt.com. Smith is working with Premier on its Premier Airport Center and Premier Gateway Center projects.

Building 3 will be 85,675 sf, and Building 2, 78,000 sf. At this center, one, 104,300-sf building is completed and two more are planned. This West Palm Beach park has 1,400 feet fronting Interstate 95 between Okeechobee Road and Australian Boulevard. Upon completion, the park will have three industrial/warehouse/distribution/showroom buildings.

At Premier Gateway Center 1 and 2, where five buildings totaling 410,700 sf already exist, Premier is developing three additional buildings totaling 402,000 sf. Building No. 2, with 99,750 sf, is scheduled to break ground soon.

The buildings at Premier Gateway Center also consist mainly of industrial/warehouse/distribution/showroom space. Center 1 is located on the NE corner of Gateway Boulevard and Quantum Boulevard. Center 2 is on the west side of Highridge Road, just south of Gateway Boulevard. They are both in Quantum Business Park in Boynton Beach.
