Arts School Invests $11M for New Campus

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA-The Community School of Music and Arts over the weekend celebrated the start of a 25,000-sf, $11 million music and art campus here on Martens Avenue.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA-The Community School of Music and Arts broke ground this weekend on a new $11 million music and arts campus in Mountain View that is slated for completion by 2004. The new facility will include 25,000-sf of teaching facilities, including music studios, classrooms, a ceramics studio, a digital arts studio and a performance hall.

CSMA has been in business for 35 years. According to city representatives, the move is necessary because of the Mountain View School District’s need to use CSMA’s current site at 253 Martens Ave. to reopen Huff Elementary School.

The new school will be located at 220 View St. in San Antonio Circle between California and Central Expressway in Mountain View, and is expected to be open in 2004.
