11,600-SF Retail Center Brings $850,000

DALLAS-A 16-year-old, fully leased shopping center in East Dallas has been sold to a Dallas-based investor for $850,000. Commercial properties also were sold in the suburbs of Mesquite and Flower Mound.

The 11,600-sf acquisition, laced with small neighborhood services’ shops, is situated at 9585 Scyene Rd. Scyene Village was on the market for six months and attracted three or four offers, Ryan Hamilton of Henry S. Miller Commercial tells GlobeSt.com. He represented the seller of record, Scyene Village Partners Ltd., which acquired the asset in the early 1990s. Kwang Kim of Kwang Strain Realty in Plano brokered the acquisition for the buyer, who won the face-off with the highest bid. Hamilton says there are no plans to rehab the center by the new owner, who has other retail assets in the region.

In another retail purchase, Maxey Properties LLC acquired a Juicy’s Burger building on about a half-acre tract at 2103 N. Town East Blvd. in Mesquite. The plan is to outfit the site with another restaurant. Collin Berg of Henry S. Miller Commercial represented the sellers, Jimmy Beale and Edward Harbour.

In nearby Flower Mound, the Lewisville Independent School District took the deed to 86 acres at the northeast corner of Spinks and FM 2499, one of the area’s main arteries. Henry S. Miller Commercial’s Gordon Campbell brokered the terms for the seller, the Lunow Family Partners Ltd. while the Chrisman Co. spoke for the school district.
