CARLSTADT, NJ-Whitehall Industrial Properties has sold a 5.08-acre industrial site here to Kaktus Sportswear, which the latter will use to build a new 49,110-sf office/warehouse building. Whitehall has also completed all building design approvals for Kaktus Sportswear, which is expected to occupy its new facility in 2003.

In the recent land-sale transaction, SBWE Real Estate Services of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ represented Whitehall. The New York-based Kaktus Sportswear, which makes brand name apparel, was represented by Carlos Leon of Leon Enterprises. East Rutherford, NJ. The site is located within the Meadowlands submarket.

Whitehall is also shopping two other sites nearby, and both have industrial building approvals in place, according to senior vice president Mark McConnell. One site is cleared for a 46,548-sf facility, and the other is set for a 17,795-sf building. John Friedland of SBWE is representing Whitehall for both assignments.
