Baptist Church Buys Former Theater for $2.1M

ONTARIO, CA-The former Pacific Ten Theatre in Ontario has been acquired by a Baptist church for $2.1 million.

The buyer, Montecito Baptist Church, has purchased the facility and plans to convert it into a church equipped with a community center and school for grades kindergarten through eighth. Occupancy is slated for November 2002. Encompassing 35,600 sf, the former Pacific Ten Theatre stands at 2560 Archibald Ave. It is located adjacent to the new Ontario police and sheriff station, close to the Archibald off-ramp of the 60 Freeway.

The Montecito Baptist Church will move to the recently acquired Ontario facility from La Puente, according to Bill Lowder of NAI Capital Commercial, who worked on the transaction. The church’s new location will allow it to serve a larger congregation as well as the residents of Ontario and Chino, he adds.

Bill Lowder, along with NAI colleague Dawn Lowder, acted on behalf of the Montecito Baptist Church. The seller, PCF Investments LLC, was represented by John Pentz of Pentz & Partners.
