BALTIMORE, MD-The 47,000-sf office structure at 19 East Fayette St., known as the Chicago Title Insurance Co. Building, has gotten a new owner and is now the property of an affiliate of the Time Equities Co. MacKenzie Commercial/Oncor International represented the seller, 242nd Burnside Partners Ltd. Partnership of Columbia, MD. While the terms of transaction have not been released, county records list the property’s 2003 assessed value at nearly $1.5 million. It last changed hands in 1998 when Burnside acquired it from Lincoln Green Associates for $755,000

Currently, the building is solidly leased to occupants including Chicago Title, Walgreens’s, The Maryland African American Museum Corp., and several law firms. Walgreen’s committed to a long-term lease on its space two years ago. The 55-year-old structure was originally built for a bank, and has undergone two renovations between 1994 and 2000. MacKenzie officials note that the new owner “has unique plans to redevelop the remaining available space.”
