Bonsall Apartment Complex Fetches $3.8M

BONSALL, CA-A 42-unit apartment complex in Bonsall has been acquired by an LLC that plans to convert the property into condominiums.

The buyer, Bonsall Cielo LLC, has shelled out $3.8 million for the complex, currently known as Brisas del Este, and plans to rename it Bonsall Cielo. Constructed in 1987, the Spanish-style complex features private garages, a swimming pool and a sauna. It is located at 31916 Del Cielo Este.

George Carlson of Burnham Real Estate Services ONCOR International acted on behalf of both Bonsall Cielo LLC and the seller, private investor Lance Douglas.

Bonsall Cielo LLC’s decision to convert its newly acquired property comes as a wave of condo construction is sweeping through San Diego County. Condominium construction has risen significantly over the past year, as the number of units approved jumped from 81 units in the third quarter of 2001 to 587 units during the same period this year, according to a recent Burnham report.
