NW Houston Building Baits 10,880-SF Lease

HOUSTON-Philips Medical Systems has signed a 10,880-sf office/warehouse lease at 9555 Baythorne in the heart of the northwest Houston industrial distribution corridor.

Philips Medical Systems, based in the Netherlands, supplies diagnostic imaging equipment, information technology and related health-care services. The firm has 22,000 employees worldwide and operations in 63 countries.

Stephen B. Schneidau of Cushman & Wakefield of Texas Inc.’s Houston office bargained the lease terms on the tenant’s behalf. Owner Kur-Le Development of Houston was represented by James E. Foreman, Beau Kaleel and Sandra F. Harris, all of Cushman & Wakefield of Texas Inc. According to the Harris County Appraisal District, 9555 Baythorne totals about 29,000 sf and was built last year.

In West Houston, Jeneal Studios Inc. signed a 3,788-lease for the Beltway Service Center at 5803 Sovereign near the Westchase submarket. The firm will use the office/warehouse space for general offices, distribution and storage of skin-care products. Building owner Vantage Cos. of Houston used in-house representative Walter Menuet to work out the deal with the tenant, who did not use a broker for the talks.
