Oxford Hotel Gets New General Manager

DENVER-Sage Hospitality Resources has named Sandra Sage general manager of the company’s historic Oxford Hotel in Lower Downtown. A 19-year veteran of the hospitality industry, Sage will oversee day-to-day operations of the hotel, built in 1891, and its 80 French and English Victorian rooms.

“My goal in managing the Oxford is to carry on the great traditions of this grand old hotel and add to its legacy of quality and service,” Sage says. “Old buildings like the Oxford Hotel are vital to a city’s soul and character. My appreciation for these wonderful structures, and Sage Hospitality’s expertise at making these buildings vital again, are a perfect match.”

Sage has been an active member of Colorado’s hospitality industry since the 1980s. From 2000 to 2002, she served as the vice president of marketing for East West Resorts, Inc.

Sage Hospitality Resources has managed the Oxford since 1984. Company founder, chief executive officer and president Walter Isenberg is a part-owner of the property along with Dana Crawford and Charles Calloway.
