Broe Cos. Makes Hire

DENVER-The Broe Cos. Inc. hired Jack Edwards, the former president and CEO of Medical Response, to help the Denver-based commercial real estate and investment company identify and acquire undervalued assets and distressed companies over the next 18 to 24 months.

Edwards, who will be a managing director at the Broe Cos., will be researching, among other things major companies that are disposing of non-core assets and restructuring opportunities; companies where liquidity has become an issue; discounted debt purchases, when the market players have fallen out of favor; and pre- and post-bankruptcy petition opportunities.

Edwards will work closely with President and CEO Pat Broe and other senior management to identify and consummate acquisitions.

“Clearly Jack Edwards has the experience in identifying business opportunities with hidden values,” says Broe. “The opportunities that he will evaluate are not going to be limited to only U.S run operations.”

The Broe Cos. invests in all types of commercial real estate and currently owns office, residential, retail, and industrial properties throughout the U.S. and Canada.
