City North Group Wins City Road Planning Consent

LONDON-City North Group has been granted planning permission for its 175,000-sf office scheme at One City Road, on the northern fringe of the City of London. But in the current market a speculative start has been ruled out.

LONDON-City North Group has won planning permission for its proposed 175,000-sf office scheme at One City Road, London EC1. The project will provide approximately 120,000 sf of net lettable space.

One City Road is close to Finsbury Square and Moorgate on the northern fringe of the City of London.

City North Group Managing Director Michael Sherley-Dale said: “The market for commercial rentals remains poor, but …the One City Road project is an inspiring design by the architects Sheppard Robson, and will be marketed as a middle-priced office scheme over coming months. No building works will commence without a pre-let in place.
