VICTORVILLE, CA-The Southern California Logistics Airport is the new North American distribution hub for Scottsdale, AZ-based GoVideo, a consumer electronics firm, according to airport officials.

Airport officials say Northern California-based Pasha Logistics recently began operating 70,000 sf of warehouse space at the airport as the North American distribution hub for GoVideo. Pasha has signed a long-term lease with the airport for the space, with terms of the deal undisclosed. The lease was a direct deal between the airport and Corte Madera-based Pasha, with no brokers involved.

GoVideo markets DVD players and other products under the CineVision, RaveMP and California Audio Labs brand names. The consumer electronics company imports products from Asia through the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach for distribution to retailers throughout the United States. Approximately 60% of the products are shipped east of the Rocky Mountains and 40% within Arizona, California, Nevada and Washington.

As third-party logistics providers for GoVideo, Pasha and DHL Danzas Air & Ocean, which provides transportation services for GoVideo, will manage US Customs clearance of the imported GoVideo products. The products will be transported from the two Southern California ports to Southern California Logistics Airport, then distributed to the electronics firm’s North American channels.

Southern California Logistics Airport, the former George Air Force Base, is a 5,000-acre business complex with manufacturing, industrial and office facilities, an international airport and a Foreign Trade Zone. The airport is being developed by Laguna Hills, CA-based Stirling Airports International in a partnership with the city of Victorville. Besides Pasha, other firms either operating or planning to locate at the airport include GE Aircraft Engines, Boeing Co., British aerospace company BAE Systems, Pratt & Whitney, M&M Mars candy company, Arrowhead water and Goodyear Corp.
