PHOENIX-The Arizona Conservatory of Arts and Academics will open a college preparatory and performing arts school this fall in 32,000 sf at a single-story office building that formerly served as offices for a high-tech firm.

Under a 10-year lease agreement with building owner, Estes-Samuelson LLC, the tuition-free school will pay $3.4 million for the 2820 W. Kelton St. building, which it will convert into classrooms, a performance area, science lab and administrative offices.
