LOS ANGELES-Real Estate Media Inc., the New York City-based commercial real estate publishing entity, has tapped Daniel Williams, formerly of the Orange County Business Journal, to be editor of Real Estate Southern California. The appointment comes with other growth moves for the locally based publication, including the promotions of Erin Cassin, who was associate editor, to senior editor and associate publisher Daniel Ceniceros to the post of regional publisher. Former editor Patricia Kirk leaves to pursue other opportunities.

“Daniel assumes this post as we expand and solidify our presence in California to meet a growing demand for commercial real estate news and information,” says Jonathan A. Schein, president & CEO of Real Estate Media Inc. He notes that Real Estate Southern California has become one of the region’s fastest growing commercial real estate magazines since its inception in 1999. “Daniel’s depth of experience as a business journalist and his insight and knowledge of regional development, government policy and environmental issues make him our strategic choice to strengthen Real Estate Southern California‘s industry presence.”

At the Orange County Business Journal, Williams was responsible for a weekly column, feature stories on the real estate market as well as investigative reporting and breaking news. “I see the opportunity to take the editorial scope of Real Estate Southern California to yet another level as a new and exciting challenge,” notes Williams, who assumes the reins of a magazine that boasts a circulation of more than 20,000. “As the only glossy monthly magazine to cover commercial and multifamily real estate throughout the area’s four major markets–Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego and the Inland Empire–Real Estate Southern California has carved a unique position in the industry as the venue for real estate decision makers to read about the latest industry buzz as well as share their thoughts on important market trends. We intend to build upon that reputation.”

Real Estate Media, the parent organization of GlobeSt.com, also publishes the national magazineReal Estate Forum as well as regionals Real Estate Southern California, Real Estate Mid-America, Real Estate New York and Real Estate New Jersey.
