FORT WORTH-The Fort Worth office for Dallas-based Trammell Crow Co. is undergoing a changing of the guard to expand the corporate services team in a border-to-border push for more Tarrant County business.

Today, Jim Eagle, senior vice president, marks his last day as office leader and turns over the team to his longtime business associate, Bob Scully. The duo set up the Fort Worth office in August 1998, with Eagle handling the management side and Scully leading corporate services.

“My decision to leave Trammell Crow Co. was difficult,” Eagle said in a prepared statement. “I realized, however, that at this point in my career I wanted to explore other opportunities, including the possibility of establishing a firm to focus on acquisition and development.”

Scully tells GlobeSt.com that the head count in the five-broker office will shortly rise to eight as he hires from the region’s pool of seasoned office and industrial specialists. “My charge is to build a team for all of Tarrant County,” says TCC’s senior vice president. And, he does mean the entire county, whether it’s where he got his start in the Great Southwest Industrial District or the considerably newer developments in and around the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. The build-up will be leveraged by the “talent” in the Dallas office and the firm’s national platform, Scully says.

For the last 22 years, Scully’s focus has been Fort Worth, both as a professional and a resident. A regular top producer with a black book that includes names such as the Fort Worth-based Bombay Co., he will remain in production as he sets the benchmark for the beefed-up business strategy. Last year, he was one of the company’s Top 10 producers nationally.

Scully was part of the Trammell Crow team from 1981 to 1991. After a six-year stint with his own company, he rejoined in 1997 when TCC opened its DFW brokerage office, with the Fort Worth group starting the following year.
