ORLANDO-The 17-year-old, 171,000-sf Apopka Regional Shopping Center in suburban Apopka, FL is under new ownership today. Apopka Regional Center LLC from Garden City, NJ, paid Zapolski & Rudd $12 million, or $70.18 per sf, for the 90%-leased property 15 miles northwest of Downtown Orlando. Buyer and seller are private investor groups.

Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Brokerage Co., which handled the deal, says in a prepared statement the fully-renovated property is in a market area “considered the second fastest growing market in the nation.”

Marcus & Millichap declined to disclose the names of buyer and seller to GlobeSt.com. But the parties’ identities were confirmed to GlobeSt.com by Real Capital Analytics and Orange County real estate tax records. Apopka Regional Center LLC lists its Garden City address as the law offices of Finkle, Ross & Rost LLP.

The center is anchored by a 29,000-sf Kash ‘N Karry and a 26,421-sf Big Lots. Other tenants are Beall’s Outlet, KnK Liquor Store, Goodwill, Eckerds, Payless Shoes, GNC and Sally Beauty Supply.
