DALLAS-In a rare triple sweep, the Fort Worth BOMA and Dallas BOMA have walked away with three winners in the 96th annual TOBY competition at the international level.

Chicago-based Equity Office Properties’ Summit Office Park won the mid-rise suburban office park category to give Fort Worth BOMA its eighth international winner. The 240,000-sf development is overseen by Carmen Snyder, EOP’s senior property manager, Erin Heath, property manager, and John Chamberlain, engineer. The twin buildings at 1200-1300 Summit Ave. were designed by Albert S. Komatsu & Associates of Fort Worth.

Fort Worth BOMA says the Summit won for such building critical areas as tenant relations programs, community involvement, emergency evacuation procedures and tenant retention. It’s widely accepted that the TOBY winners are not “beauty contests,” but rather performance driven face-offs.

Dallas BOMA recorded its first dual win at the international level in this year’s competition held in San Francisco. The chapter’s winners are the 471,319-sf Waterside Commons in the suburban low-rise competition and the Atrium at Northcreek in the under-100,000-sf category.

Waterside Commons is a six-building office campus built at the edge of Lake Situagua in Las Colinas. The Crescent Real Estate Equities Co. property is managed by Julie Young and leased by Mike Lewis. Waterside Commons scored points for its community involvement via Crescent’s Faces of Change Program, in which the building partners with the Tom Field Elementary School in Dallas as well as cornering recognition for its state-of-the-art technology and 24/7 energy management system.

The 85,630-sf Atrium at 2929 N. Central Expressway in Richardson is managed by Pamela Sieling of Granite Properties Inc. for the Dallas-based building owner, 2929 Partners Ltd. Mark Harrison is the leasing manager.
