CHESAPEAKE, VA-Sentara Healthcare has signed on to occupy nearly one-third of the 137,000-sf Crossways I building within the 200-acre Crossways at Greenbrier Park business campus. Sentara plans to house a nursing school and training facility in 40,000 sf of space at the single-story property. The lease is for a 10-year term, and is valued at $5.7 million. Space in the building generally rents for $14.75 per-sf. CB Richard Ellis represented the KB Realty Advisors-led ownership, while SL Nusbaum Realty Co. represented Sentara’s interests in the deal.

Located in the Hampton Roads submarket, Crossways I was built in 1988, and KB Realty’s Phillip Diment tells GlobeSt.com that “the property was acquired by the investor in 1998.” Sentara’s neighbors in the building, which carries the address of 1441 Crossways Blvd., will include the Coast Guard Finance Center and the Coast Guard Security Center. Other tenants in the sprawling, two million-sf business park include Cox Communications, Harris Publishing and Towers Perrin.
