Marriott Finds Takers for Warehouse Space

HANOVER PARK, IL-A 72,480-sf sublease to Insight Enterprises Inc. at 6415 Muirfield Dr. was part of Marriott Distribution Services’ shedding 448,120 sf in three states, saving the company more than $3.5 million. In addition to the sublease here, early terminations of a 127,200-sf leases in Haslet, TX, and Groveland, FL also were part of the strategy.

Marriott Distribution Services sold eight of 11 high-volume distribution centers but needed to sublease the remaining three.

After Marriott Distribution Services leased 193,720 sf of warehouse space from IDI, Maines Paper & Food Service Inc. eventually took 120,000 sf when it took over the latter company’s accounts in the Chicago market.
