CAMBRIDGE, MA-Revahertz Networks is leasing 6,809 sf at 139 Main St., a four-story, 38,000-sf office building in the heart of Kendall Square. The high tech start-up is subleasing the space from Forrester Research. Lease rates for this deal were not available, but average asking rents in Cambridge continue to take a beating, according to the latest statistics by Trammell Crow Co. The firm reports that the area’s average asking rents are currently about $30 per sf, a decline of 7% from the $32 at the end of last year. Sublease deals tend to involve lower than average lease rates. The area continues to struggle to fill its space with an overall vacancy rate of about 26% according to Trammell Crow Co.

Charles P. Kavoogian, vice president, and Matthew J. Flaherty, associate, of CB Richard Ellis/Whittier Partners, represented Revahertz Networks in the transaction. Robert B. Richards and Shawna Plociak of Richard Barry Joyce & Partners represented Forrester Research.

Kavoogian notes that the “boutique nature” of the building provides a strong presence for Revahertz.
