Relocating Music Firm Signs for 20,000 SF

HOUSTON-A late fall relocation is being planned for Brook Mays Music Co. The musical instrument sales-and-service firm has inked a 10-year, 20,000-sf lease at 10311 Katy Freeway near Memorial City Mall.

The company is relocating from a slightly smaller retail space two miles west at 11522 Old Katy Rd., according to Greg Bracchi of Staubach Retail Services’ Dallas office. Bracchi, who represented the tenant, tells GlobeSt.com that the move is intended to put the store closer to the regional retail hub.

The target location is owned by Houston’s MetroNational Corp., the owner of Memorial City Mall. MetroNational was represented internally.

This is the third relocation Bracchi has completed for Brook Mays in Houston this year. He says that all of the relocations were aimed at increasing the prominence of the retailer in the local market. Bracchi expects a few more relocations before year end. Based in Dallas, Brook Mays operates more than 50 retail locations.
