In a deal in which Mark Mattis of PM Realty Group represented Prentiss, Harrows signed a five-year, $2.4 million dollar lease that begins in the first quarter of next year. The bakery’s new space is in the Harbor Gateway area at 19216 Normandie Ave., a 41,699-sf unit in a multi-tenant building; and 19220 Normandie Ave., a 30,125-sf, free-standing industrial building. Both buildings were constructed in the early 1970′s and they share the same 7-acre parcel of land.

Although the lease begins next year, Mattis notes that Harrows has already begun to use the 19216 Normandie facility by way of a sublease with King’s Hawaiian. King’s has used the building as a bakery for the last 13 years and is currently completing the development of new headquarters nearby. Harrows’ operation, which includes making pies for such clients as Marie Callender, will eventually be moved in its entirety to the Normandie buildings from Huntington Beach.
