QUINCY, MA-The J. Jill Group is leasing 29,500 sf of office space at Four Batterymarch Park. The specialty retailer of women’s apparel is subleasing the space from Kemper Insurance. The deal represents an expansion of the company’s headquarters space. J. Jill recently opened its 100th store. Lease rates for this deal were not available, but the average asking rent for similar space in the area is about $24 per sf.

J.P. Plunkett, Cathy Minnerly and Jim Grady of Cushman & Wakefield represented Kemper Insurance in the transaction while Andrew Majewski of CB Richard Ellis/Whittier Partners represented The J. Jill Group.

Four Batterymarch Park is a 163,285 sf office building located in a campus setting around a wooded pond. The building, owned by the National Fire Protection Association, features a three-level parking garage as well as a cafeteria.

Overall vacancy rates for the Quincy area remain at approximately 11%.
