WHITE PLAINS, NY-Real estate consulting firm Fidelity Corporate Real Estate, LLC has signed a lease for 12,821 sf of space at its 711 Westchester Ave. office building here. The deal will involve the relocation of Fidelity Corporate Real Estate from its current offices down the road at 1133 Westchester Ave.

Fidelity Corporate Real Estate is the real estate consulting services arm of Fidelity Investments. W&M Construction will build out the space for the new tenant. Involved in the transaction for W&M Properties, which worked on behalf of the building owner, were EVP Jeffrey H. Newman, JoAnn B. McGrath, VP of leasing and marketing, and senior leasing associate Laurie W. Russell. Cushman & Wakefield of Connecticut Inc.’s senior director Stephen F. Baker and executive director Paul H. Kauffman, represented Fidelity in the deal.

Commenting on the deal, W&M’s Newman says, “Leasing has been strong in Westchester County, and we have seen a lot of activity at 711 Westchester Ave. This lease shows how our Class-A, multi-tenanted office buildings continue to attract tenants and brokers.” W&M Properties is the real estate management, marketing and acquisition arm of the Malkin family, which has commercial and residential real estate holdings in eight states.

Concerning another Westchester property, Newman, at a meeting of the Westchester County Board of Realtors’ Commercial Investment Division on Oct. 16, reported that W&M is marketing more than 100,000 sf of underutilized space currently leased to AT&T at 500 Mamaroneck Ave. The space includes the entire fourth floor and half of the top (fifth) floor at the 285,000-sf building located at the Harrison/White Plains border. W&M has already begun demolition and upgrade work on the AT&T space.

Also at the 500 Mamaroneck Ave. property, W&M reports that Mariner Investment Group Inc., has signed a new seven-year lease deal that expands its corporate headquarters space to nearly 9,000 sf. W&M officials say that the asset management company will move into its new contiguous 3,036-sf first floor space by late autumn. W&M’s McGrath and Russell represented the building ownership in that deal as well. The tenant represented itself in the transaction.
