NEW YORK CITY-Wireless service provider T-Mobile signs on for 13,600 sf of contiguous office space in Noho/Soho for its national and local sales force. Previously occupying 4,662 sf on the third floor at 665 Broadway, the company will now be housed on the entire third floor, totaling 8,262 sf, and part of the fourth floor, totaling 5,000 sf. Financial details of the seven-year deal were not revealed, however space in building is advertised at $27 per sf.

Built in 1912, 665 Broadway is a 12-story office tower located between Bleecker and Bond streets in Greenwich Village. Notable tenants in the building include Time Warner’s Home Box Office.

Cushman & Wakefield’s David Dusek and Robert Gallucci represented T-Mobile in the transaction, while John Peters, also with C&W, represented the landlord.

“Originally, T-Mobile was going to split its national and local sales groups,” Dusek, a Cushman & Wakefield director, tells “They looked in Midtown to keep them separate, but it was more economical to stay.” Dusek adds that it was also economical for the landlord to build out the space.

According to Dusek, T-Mobile’s growth–the sales staff has expanded from 20 to 60–is a positive sign. “It’s good to see some companies and sectors expanding. Hopefully it holds some significance in the near-term for the larger economy.”
