HUNT VALLEY, MD-MCI Telecommunications Corp. has decided to renew its hold on 74,000 sf of space for its marketing operations in the 108,000-sf building at 230 Schilling Circle, also known as Schilling Plaza. The company has kept office space, ranging in size, at the property since 1982. MCI, which relied on the assistance of real estate services firm NAI KLNB to broker the deal, has not made the terms of its arrangement with property owner the Rouse Co. available. However, space in the building goes for $20.50 per sf. The Rouse Co. represented itself in the transaction.

“MCI is in the process of reviewing all of its leases nationwide, so our ability to retain the tenant in this building is a significant development for both the owner, and the Hunt Valley Business Community,” NAI KLNB’s Joe Nolan says. It was just three years ago that the company decided to expand its presence at Schilling Plaza and take on the entire building after closing its Linthicum, MD-based service center office.
