Pritzker Project Hires TCC's Smalley

ORLANDO-Baldwin Park, a planned $1-billion mixed-use community under development by Chicago’s Pritzker Family in east Orlando, has recruited Jane Smalley from Trammell Crow Co. to fill the project’s newly created position of director of communications.

Smalley, a marketing and public relations professional with TCC for the past 12 years, will report to David Pace, the project’s managing director. Smalley is a board member in the local chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women and heads CREW’s marketing and public relations efforts.

Baldwin Park, located 2.5 miles from Downtown on the site of the former Orlando Naval Training Center, is one of the largest in-city development projects in the country, Smalley says. At completion, the community will have about 3,300 homes and one million sf office and retail space.

Currently under construction at Village Center is the first commercial phase of 450 sf of retail, restaurant, office and apartments.
