LOVELAND, CO-Memphis-based Poag & McEwen Lifestyle Center, the developer of the Shops at Centerra in this northern Colorado city, says it has received another round of “commitments” from several retailers. The latest retailers interested in the development include Coldwater Creek, Victoria’s Secret, Express, Bath & Body Works, and Red Robin Gourmet Burgers.

Earlier, Poag & McEwen received commitments from Foley’s Department Store, Galyan’s Trading Company, Barnes & Noble Booksellers, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, and Biaggi’s Italian Bistro. The 700,000-sf Lifestyle Center is planned for the intersection of I-25 and US 34.

The outdoor shopping center is a part of the 3,000-acre Centerra planned community that includes retail, offices, medical facilities, hotels, and residential. “The leasing is coming along very rapidly with several more commitments expected in the near future,” says Terry McEwen, president of Poag & McEwen. “Originally, we hadn’t expected to announce tenants until the summer of 2004 but the retailers and restaurants really like our site and project and are committing faster than expected.”

Coldwater Creek, founded in 1984 in Sand Point, ID, is a retailer of women’s apparel, jewelry, gift items, and home accessories. The company sells its merchandise through catalogue and 84 retail stores located throughout the country.

“They have opened in all of Poag & McEwen’s Lifestyle Centers and have been very successful in each,” says Dan Poag, CEO of his namesake company.

The 7,000-sf foot Red Robin Gourmet Burgers restaurant will feature casual dining focusing on gourmet burgers. The Denver-area company operates over 100 restaurants in 13 states and has an additional 98 restaurants operating under franchise agreements in 17 states and Canada.

Victoria’s Secret, Express, and Bath & Body Works are all part of the Limited Brands company headquartered in Columbus, OH.

The developers are planning to start construction on The Shops at Centerra around the first of the year with an anticipated grand opening of August 2005.
