FREDERICK, MD-A building in the Riverside Technology Park has gotten a new tenant with Service Master’s leasing of 9,000 sf of space in the 500,000-sf flex business park. Service Master will make its home in the 75,000-sf building at 8425 Progress Dr., one of the park’s first structures. Jerry Witt of MIE Properties Inc., the developer of Riverside Technology Park, tells that space rents for $9 to $15 per sf, depending on the level of office finishing.

Riverside Technology Park sits on a 44-acre parcel between Rte. 26 and I-70, and is currently leased to 66% capacity. “Demand for flex and light manufacturing space in the Frederick area has been high and, in turn, we expect to increase leasing activities at Riverside Technology Park, as well as our other Frederick business park, the Center at Monocacy,” notes MIE Properties partner Gigi Wagner. Other tenants in the park include Commercial Marketing Associates, Invitro Care, Progressive Casualty Insurance Co., and Trugreen.
