ONTARIO, CA-The Pinewave Development Group has kicked off construction of its 356,000-sf, 24-acre Grove Avenue Business Park, a 14-building project of industrial and service retail buildings for sale.Pinewave expects to have the development ready for occupancy by December, according to Lester Ip, VP of Pinewave. The project will take shape at 1405 Grove Ave., where Pinewave owns a rectangular-shaped development site. Ip tells GlobeSt.com that the company will build two multi-tenant buildings on part of the parcel, with two pads on opposite sides of the multi-tenants structures where the remaining buildings will be developed. Ip says likely buyers will be owner-users as well as investors. Likely users could include service and industrial companies as well as quick-service or casual restaurants and other service retail operations, Ip says. The two multi-tenant service/commercial buildings will range in size from 11,000 sf to 16,600 sf and the two commercial pads are each one acre. The project is being designed by MacDavid Martinez Architects Inc. of Tustin, with Marc DiGennaro of Lee & Associates’ City of Industry office and Paul Earnhart of Lee’s Ontario office as the listing agents.Headquartered in Walnut, with a branch office in Northern California, Pinewave Group consists of three companies: A development company that specializes in commercial and industrial real estate projects, a construction company that serves as a general contractor for its clients (and will be the general contractor on the Grove Avenue project), and a design and engineering company that provides services including subdivision, site design and tenant improvements for commercial and industrial clients. Founded in 1989, the company has developed retail centers, shopping malls, supermarkets, restaurants and churches. This is the first industrial project in Ontario for Pinewave, which has also developed in the City of Industry.
