SANTA ANA, CA-Investors have purchased office properties here and in Costa Mesa for a total of more than $7 million, according to Sperry Van Ness and Grubb & Ellis. In the Santa Ana transaction, an individual investor from Palos Verdes bought a 36,169-sf office building at 1950 E. 17th St. for $3.8 million in a bankruptcy sale by an Orange County-based Chapter 7 trustee. Donald Keena and Denny Moore of Sperry Van Ness in Irvine represented the seller, with the buyer represented by Laura Warren of the Real Estate Group represented the buyer. Built in 1968, the property was 95% leased to tenants including Metro-One Telecommunications and Cornerstone of Southern California.In the Costa Mesa transaction, Newport Beach-based Blurock Investments LLC purchased an 18,782-sf office building in the Waters at Creekside project from Los Angeles-based Commercial Ventures for $3.3 million. The Waters at Creekside, at 2900 S. Bristol St., consists of nine office buildings ranging from 12,000 sf to 23,000 sf and totaling 156,000 sf. Jeff Hanson and Ryan Gallagher of Grubb & Ellis’ Newport Beach Investment Group and Bob Davis, Scott Johnstone, and Greg Puccinelli of the Office Group brokered the sale.
