SCARSDALE, NY-Work on the $23-million Scarsdale Commons rental apartment project has been completed, according to the owner of the development, Garson Brothers Development LLC. In fact, almost half of the 44-unit luxury project are already spoken for.

Located at 70 Garth Rd. near the Scarsdale railroad station, Scarsdale Commons features one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment units, including penthouses with lofts. Garson Brothers officials say that the development offers Park Avenue-style design and amenities.

Rents start at $2,700 for a one-bedroom apartment; $3,700 for a two-bedroom; $5,000 for a two-bedroom, two-bath with loft; $6,150 for a three-bedroom, two-bath; and $9,500 for a 3,000-sf penthouse with three bedrooms, three-baths and a “bonus room.”

“We have created a truly unique apartment community at Scarsdale Commons, one that exceeds anything that’s been built in Westchester. From the standpoint of design, luxury features, amenities and services, Scarsdale Commons is at a level of luxury that even goes beyond condominium residences,” says Staffard Garson of Garson Brothers Development, which is the developer, owner, builder and manager of Scarsdale Commons.

Garson says there is a growing market for superior high-end apartment rentals in Westchester. “We are seeing a number of individuals and couples with unique lifestyle needs who do not want to invest in a home or condominium during this seller’s market. Some are corporate transfers from international companies and others are area residents who have downsized from a large home. Yet they all have a common desire to live in an intimate and maintenance-free residential community in the region’s most elite neighborhood,” he notes.

Luxury amenities at Scarsdale Commons include an executive fitness center including private massage room, business center, 24-hour emergency maintenance, a concierge and covered parking. Garson Brothers Development, headquartered in Bronxville, owns and manages multifamily residential apartment buildings, shopping centers and medical buildings throughout Manhattan, Riverdale, Bronxville, Yonkers, Armonk, Bedford, Chappaqua and Scarsdale.
