NEW YORK CITY-Studley has launched its National Industrial Real Estate Practice Group. This follows on the heels of the firm establishing a national retail practice earlier this year. Studley will first start this industrial practice in five of its 18 offices–New Jersey, Philadelphia, Southern California, Texas and Chicago. Once established, the firm will then roll out the practice to the other industrial markets in which Studley offices are located including: Atlanta, Denver, Florida, New York, San Francisco, Silicon Valley/South Bay, Tampa/St. Petersburg, and Washington/Baltimore.

“Studley pioneered the tenant-rep business 50 years ago,” says Studley president Michael Colacino. “It is now time to take a platform that has proven highly successful in the office sector and apply it to the growing industrial market.”

Thomas R Carragher, branch manager of the firm’s northern New Jersey office is leading this effort. “They are no longer just looking for a big box to store product for distribution. They are looking for professional counsel and a comprehensive logistics strategy. While important, real estate is only a component of such a strategy.” Carragher already represents major industrial users like Bed, Bath and Beyond, Coca Cola Enterprises, Donna Karan and Georgia Pacific.

The Industrial Group will also work with the National Retail Group to provide clients with a nationally integrated source. Earlier this year, Studley absorbed Strategic Alliance Partners, a boutique tenant rep firm based in Rochelle Park, NJ, which specializes in industrial and office.
