AURORA, CO-In good news for what has been a struggling submarket, health care provider Kaiser Permanente renewed its 38,106-sf lease at the Waterpark III building along the Southeast corridor. But even more importantly, Kaiser Permanente also expanded into another 35,434 sf into a neighboring building, Waterpark II.

Both the Waterpark II and III buildings are owned and operated by KBS Realty Advisors. Combined, the properties total 210,838sf and are 98% occupied. KBS is headquartered in Newport Beach,CA, and since 1992 has invested more than $5 billion on behalf of clients.

Kevin McKinnon and Jonathan Jones of Transwestern Commercial Services represented KBS and Mike Wafer of Grubb & Ellis represented Kaiser, the nation’s largest nonprofit health plan, serving 8.2 million members. With headquarters in Oakland, the company is made up of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc., Kaiser Foundation Hospitals and their subsidiaries, The Permanente Medical Groups and affiliations with Group Health Cooperative based in Seattle.
