Octagon Inc. has already moved from its 39,000-sf Stamford offices to the Norwalk property.Edward Weiss, Gerry Lees, Robert Thuss and Melisa Schneider of Cushman & Wakefield represented Interpublic in its location analysis and in lease negotiations. Frank Saphire of Hines Interests, the general partner overseeing the building’s leasing and management, represented the property owner, National Office Partners LP.Weiss, a vice chairman with C&W, says the office search was centered on Fairfield County only and the requirement had been on the market for about a year. “Interpublic was focused on finding the right space for its employees with a lease agreement that provided flexibility. Ownership accommodated the firm’s anticipated future growth by offering expansion opportunities within the building,” he says. “800 Connecticut Ave. was an ideal choice because of its location, high quality infrastructure and its amenities.” C&W’s Lee, a senior director with the brokerage firm, says the keys to Interpublic’s decision to lease at 800 Connecticut Ave. included Norwalk’s central location and accessibility. Other major tenants at 800 Connecticut Ave. include Priceline.com, Muehlstein, Hitachi and GE Capital.
