RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA-Construction will begin in January on four two-story steel frame office buildings on Haven Avenue between Fourth and Sixth Streets in a 72,890-sf project by developer Ledesma & Meyer that will be called Palmae Business Center, according to CB Richard Ellis, which will be the listing agent for the class A space, which will be offered for sale or lease. Ledesma & Meyer, now based elsewhere in Rancho Cucamonga, will occupy one of the buildings as its new corporate headquarters.The buildings will range from 15,758 sf to 20,687 sf, with construction is expected to be complete in winter 2005. CBRE’s Taylor Ing, Michael Day and John Oien of the company’s Ontario office will market the property on behalf of Ledesma & Meyer. The project is being designed by Williams Chiao Architects LLP of Upland Ledesma as the general contractor. The new Ledesma & Meyer project is the latest in a series of recently announced office developments in the Inland Empire, which has been growing as jobs move to the region, creating demand for more space. Besides the Rancho Cucamonga project, others that have been announced in recent weeks include a 350,000-sf project called Airport Corporate Centre that is already under way in Ontario by Costa Mesa-based Armstrong-Butcher and is being marketed by Ing and Day, a 350,000-sf project in Riverside by Riverside Commercial Investors that is called The Grove and is due to break ground in April that is listed by Vindar Batoosingh and Philip Woodford of CB Richard Ellis in Ontario, a 150,000-sf, four-building campus that developer Chino Hills Business Park LP started in Chino Hills for which Ing and Day are listing agents, and a 28,000-sf project in Ontario by Investment Development Services of Los Angeles for which Kyle Kehner and Chuck Belden of Cushman & Wakefield’s Ontario office are the listing agents.
