PLAINFIELD, IN-A 56-acre industrial park is under development here by a joint venture of Indianapolis-based Horn Properties and McShane Corp. of Chicago. The MetroAir Business Park eventually will have five buildings ranging in size from 40,000 sf to 200,000 sf.The master-planned park is located at Stafford Road and Ronald Reagan Parkway and boasts direct access to I-70, I-465 and the Indianapolis International Airport via the Six Points Road interchange. Tenants may be able to take advantage of a 10-year real estate tax abatement program offered by the State of Indiana. The first building, a 110,000-sf speculative warehouse on 7.4 acres, is designed for distribution and light assembly operations. It will be tenant ready in December. Other selected sites within the park provide for specialized uses such as retail, office, medical office and life science facilities. Richard Horn of Horn Properties was not available Wednesday for comment. The general contractor for MetroAir is United Construction Co. The project architect is JRA Architecture LLC. The listing broker is Patrick Lindley of Colliers Turley Martin Tucker.MetroAir is adjacent to the 18 million-sf Plainfield Business Park. Tenants at Plainfield include Belkin Components; Redcats USA; Caterpillar; JC Penney; Arvin Meritor; Epson America, USA; and Becton, Dickinson and Co.
