Cost Plus Takes Pembroke Crossing to 100% Occupancy

PENBROKE PINES, FL-Cost Plus World Market has inked a 10-year lease valued at nearly $5 million for a 21,427-sf store in Pembroke Crossing. The San Francisco-based retailer has three units in the Orlando area, three near Jacksonville, and one each in Fort Myers and Pensacola, but this marks its entry into Southeast Florida where it joins Justice and Ulta, two other national chains that also made their South Florida debut at the 290,000-sf power center.

This lease takes occupancy at Pembroke Crossing to 100%, according to Erica Des Roches, director of leasing for Miami Beach-based Terranova Corp. Des Roches represented the owner, Newark-based PREI. The center at the intersection of Flamingo Road and Pines Boulevard was completed in 1997. Among the other tenants are Circuit City, David’s Bridal, Linens ‘n Things, PetsMart and Barnes & Noble.

Cost Plus sells a wide range of products supplied by an international network of artisans. It operates 246 stores in 31 states under the names World Market and Cost Plus World Market.
