CENTURY CITY, CA-The emergence of tenant-in-common buyers as a force in the multifamily industry will be one of the topics at Apartments 2005, the annual conference and networking event on Sept. 27 at the Westin Century Plaza hotel. The all-day event, which typically attracts more than 1,200 attendees, will also include panel discussions, keynotes and featured speakers on virtually every aspect of the multifamily industry.

The panel session on TIC investors will be titled, “The Next Big Thing? The Who, What, Where, Why & How of Multi Family Tenant-in-Common Investing-and How It Could Impact the Apartment Market.” Jim Shaw, president and CEO of CapHarbor, will moderate. Panelists will include Marc Paul of SCI Real Estate Investments, Louis Rogers of Triple Net Properties, Mark Strauss of Cohen Financial and Larry Sullivan of Passco Real Estate Enterprises Inc.

Other panel topics will include the state of the economy and its impact on the multifamily market, investment sales, development, cap rates, and condo development and conversions. Keynote speakers will include W. Dean Henry of Legacy Partners, Keith Guericke of Essex Property Trust and Don Daseke of ApartmentMatching.com. Harvey Green, president and CEO of Marcus & Millichap, will offer a look “Inside the Real Estate Mind” in an interview with Michael Desiato , editor in chief of Real Estate Media Inc.
