TEANECK, NJ-A powerful slate of speakers and panelists is set for the 2005 RealShare New Jersey conference when it convenes on Thursday, Sept. 29 at the Glenpointe Marriott here, with attendance expected to top the record 600+ of a year ago. The event is being produced by Real Estate Media, parent company of Real Estate Forum, Real Estate New Jersey and GlobeSt.com.

Heading the slate of speakers is Doug Forrester, Republican candidate for governor in the upcoming election, who will deliver a luncheon keynoter. Countering on behalf of Democratic candidate Jon Corzine will be US Congressman Robert Andrews of New Jersey’s 1st District.

Also from the public sector, Anthony Coscia, chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey will deliver the opening keynote address. Coscia, one of the most influential figures in New Jersey commercial real estate and business, will talk about the authority’s new Portfields initiatives and how that and other projects could be a catalyst for the entire region’s continued growth.

The program will also feature the popular one-on-one Inside the Real Estate Mind segment. This year, David Lichtenstein, president of the Lightstone Group, will talk with Real Estate Media editor-in-chief Michael Desiato about his company’s rapid growth and future plans…and how it all started.

The interactive Town Hall Meeting segment is again on this year’s slate. This year’s panel of industry leaders includes Jeff Gronning of Normany Real Estate Partners, Rick Marchisio of Grubb & Ellis, Bob Martie of Advance Realty Group, Gil Medina of Cushman & Wakefield of NJ, Ray Sohmer of CB Richard Ellis and Emanuel Stern of Hartz Mountain Industries.

Also on the agenda: 15 Minutes with Mitchell Hersh. The president and CEO of Mack-Cali Realty will sit down with Real Estate Media president and CEO Jonathan Schein for a candid conversation on everything from the Meadowlands Xanadu project to the outlook for consolidation in the REIT sector.

Hard-hitting concurrent sessions throughout the day’s program will cover such subjects as the investment sales market, the industrial market outlook, the public affairs climate as it impacts real estate and the state of the office market. Also on the schedule are sessions focusing in-depth on the debt and equity capital markets and the stellar performance of New Jersey’s retail market.

And new this year: Peer Group Networking roundtable discussion during lunch. According to RealShare conference director Richard Kelley, “an individual interested in a specific topic will have the opportunity to sit down at a table with others interested in the same topic and talk about the issues over lunch. Some of the topics include better ownership and development through technology, brownfields opportunities, multi-family investment, financial due diligence, tenant demands and growth management, just to name a few.”
