CHELMSFORD, MA-In a move that consolidated its Nashua, NH and Lowell, MA operations, TriQuint Semiconductor has relocated to 24,000 sf of space at 2 Executive Dr. here. The firm subleased its former Lowell facility to another high-tech firm.

Flory McCarthy, with Spaulding & Slye Colliers, who negotiated both transactions for the tenant along with colleague Dan Kollar, tells GlobeSt.com that the 119,000-sf building, located near both Routes 3 and 495, offered a central location for commuting workers at the company’s former facilities. “It was a good location and the space provided them with a great identity,” notes McCarthy.

The building, which is about 70 % occupied, will serve as TriQuint’s Northeast Design Center and give the firm about 8,000 sf of additional space for its offices and semiconductor lab than it had at its previous locations. Terms of the six-year lease were not disclosed.

McCarthy and Kollar also represented TriQuint in the two-and-a-half-year sublease of its 10,000 sf Lowell facility at 650 Suffolk St. to August Technology. Matt Adams with Meredith & Grew represented owner New Boston Fund as well as August Technology.
