PANAMA CITY, FL-The sale of the 713 acres housing the Panama City-Bay County airport here is up for bids with a deadline set for Feb. 7 on closing offers, according to the Panama City-Bay County Airport and Industrial District which is handling the disposition.

The Airport Authority will require the selected purchaser to complete a Development of Regional Impact and obtain the approvals for any new project from local, state and federal agencies, Airport Authority Joseph Tannehill Sr. says in a prepared statement. “We believe the DRI process will allow the property to be redeveloped to the maximum advantage and betterment of the community,” Tannehill says. The winning bid will be selected March 21.
